Fire Damper InspectionAccording to the National Fire Protection Agency NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, nursing and care facilities are required to have their fire, smoke, and ceiling dampers inspected every two years for problems such as rust or mechanically frozen parts. Also, every four years the fusible links that hold them open unitl they are exposed to heat have to be removed so the damper can be operated and tested. The Geopfert Company has qualified people who can perform these inspections throughout Greater Akron, Youngstown, Cleveland, and all of Northeastern Ohio, as well as the ability to keep accurate and complete records should you need proof that the work was performed.
